It’s not often that we take the time to enjoy our home cities the way tourists do. I spent the past ten days doing just that during my boyfriend’s visit to Toronto! During our trip we stayed at two hotels (deal hunters that we are): The Westin Harbour Castle and the Fairmont Royal York, both in downtown Toronto. We got to see two very different parts of the city this way, and it made the short trip feel even longer.
We went down to Queen to scope out the MMVA rehearsals at Much! It was great to see the behind-the-scenes action and avoid the crowds that would inevitably come the day of the event. We even got to see Serena Ryder play!
We ate a loooooooot of good food…
And found these awesome cow sculptures in the middle of the financial district! There was a whole field of them!
The trip was so amazing and refreshing. Stay tuned for more posts about what we did in our ten days, including the Redpath Waterfront Festival and dinner at the CN Tower!
So techies, have you ever vacationed in your home city? What was it like? Let me know in the comments!

Yum! All that food looks amazing :)
It was soooo delicious. If you’re in Toronto you should check out that restaurant, Toula! It’s so great and has a beautiful view of the skyline and the lake. :)
Cute photos! It looks like you had a great time!
